Popular though the graceful and beautiful "willow” plume may be, it la not this feather which the smartest. Parisian mediates use In adorning their creations. ' w They much prefer the French plume and use It accordingly. There are really but few ways in which the willow plume may be used and perhaps it is for this reason that the French plume is so often seen. It may be used in numberless fashions—curling gracefully over the side, drooping over the brim, standing upright, arranged in the new French fashion from the back, or twisted and bent into whatever way the milliner deems moat effective and striking. And In view of the fact that the French plume may be used over and over, and may be recurled at small expense, it Is also more economical than the much In-evidencs willow plums. ’‘' ' ’ r> t 'f «
