Evening Republican, Volume 15, Number 32, Rensselaer, Jasper County, 7 February 1911 — The Upturned Brim. [ARTICLE]
The Upturned Brim.
The brimless hat that eclipsed the brow has now a rival. It is the brim turned straight up from the face or the side of the head. There is undoubtedly a becoming grace of line in this type. It shows the hair. It gives a curved line of beauty that forms an attractive frame for the face. It Bhows the under Burface of the brim and gives opportunity for a contrast between the crown and the hair. So little turbans, cloae-fitting toques and large picture hats have taken a turn —for the better.
