In the Mate department 1{ a colored doorkeeper who Is unusually well educated, and his language is set off with a lot of long and surprising words. Now and then Huntington Wilson, assistant secretary of state, stops on his way out of the building and asks the doorkeeper a question to bring forth an amusing answer.
