FAIR OAKS.
A 1 Moore is moving his family to Lafayette this week. Hiram Meeks moveti to a farm near Winamac this week. , Ed Kessler and wife made a rip to Rensselaer this week. Floyd Cox and Fred McKay are working out on the Iflarris ranch. Chas. Gundy and son Roy, also N. A. McKay, were here over Sunday. Wm, Carpenter, of Lafayette, has taken A 1 Moore’s place as section foreman here. Mr. William Cottingham and wife, of Danville are visiting relatives here for a few days. —— T —.■—■'■■■ • ■■■*•■■•——- Rev. McClure will preach at the M. E. Church next Saturday night, Jan. 21. All are invited to attend. Mrs. Mattie Holly of North Manchester, Ind., was here the last of the week and is visiting relatives in Rensselaer now.
Obituary. Cora McGlinn Cox was born July 24, 1863, In Franklin county, Indiana, and died at her home in Fair Oaks on Wednesday, -January 11, 1911, aged 47 yqars, 6 months and 17 days. On the 20th of November, 1881, she was married to Emory G. Cox, to which union six children, three sons and three daughters, have been born, all of whom are living, and all were present at her death bed with the exception of one daughter, Miss Ella Cox, of Shelby, lowa. The deceased was a devoted wife and a sacrificing and loving mother; She had lived in the vicinity of Fair Oaks for the past fifteen years, and was known as one who would sacrifice in loving service to those in sickness or need, About eight years ago she united with the local Methodist church, of which she has since been a faithful member, and when the time for her departure came she was ready to go. Mrs. Cox leaves her aged mother, Mrs. McGlinn, of Rensselaer, and her husband and six children, three sons and three daughters, and a host of friends to mourn her death. The funeral services were held at the Fair Oaks M. E. church, Rev. C. S. McClure, the pastor, officiating. Interment was made in the Fair Oaks cemetery.
