In a signed and published letter, Major Henry L. Higginson thanks theBoston women for taking off their hats so quietly and courteously at the Symphony Orchestra’s last concert. "It may not be amiss,” he adds, "to remind the ladles that many men are bald and suffer from unavoidable draughts, but do not wear their hats.
