H. W. Marble Bid In the Construction of Davis Ditch.

The Davis ditch in Kankakee township was sold Friday. It was bid in by H. W. Marble, of Wheatfield, who bid 7.29 cents per yard for the dredge work. Mr. Marble not only bid in the main ditch but the four larger laterals. The Stalbaum and Graves'laterals were bid in by Fred Tressmer and the Peregrine lateral by Chas. Stalbaum. The contract taken by Mr. Marble will amount to about SIB,OOO. Attorney A. Halleck witnessed the sale of the ditch. There were a dozen or thirteen dredge men at the letting.
