Miss Lora Bruce spent today in Lafayette. Scott R. Chesnut is reported to be very sick of pneumonia at the home of his father, north of the railroad. Mrs. Nick Schmitter returned from Delphi this morning, after a short visit with the paients of her husband. * The Republican yesterday said that Mrs. J. C. Parrett had gone' to Chicago. It should have said to Chalmers. ■ John Duvall was down from Chicago spending the Christmas period with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Duvall. Oscar Phegley and grandson Oscar McDonald, of Monticello, came today for a visit with Chas. Phegley and other relatives. Dr. E. N. Loy left this morning for Piqua, Ohio, on a business trip. He is expected to be gone over Wednesday and Thursday. Miss Sadie Cody returned to Chicago this morning after a short visit with the family of I. W. Parker, east of Rensselaer.
