Chutney Sauce.

Here is a fine rule for chutney sauce: One pound sour apples chopped very fine, one-quarter pound ground ginger, one pound raisins stoned and chopped, onehalf ounce cayenne pepper, one pound brown sugar, one-quarter pound salt, four large onions chopped; mix well, moisten with vinegar and cook slowly until like Jam; after It is cooked add jelly cut in inch pieces, put into jars.
