George Gorham’s watch station at the Main street crossing of the Monon railroad was almost destroyed this morning when the mail sacks for Rensselaer were thrown off the norty bound through train. The sacks all hit the building, which seems to be substantially constructed, but they hit with sufficient force to break the door open and knock out one panel of the siding. The train goes through Rensselaer at about 50 miles an hour and when a half dozen mail bags crash into a little building something gives way.
