Bob Yanatta Elected Superior Judge In Grant and Delaware.
Robert Vanatta, son of Mr. and Mrs. John R. Vanatta, who was nominated by the republicans of Grant and Delaware counties for superior judge, yras elected by a majority of about 500. His father received a telegram from him Wednesday advising him of his election. His many Rensselaer friends will be glad of his success. Bob is a selfmade man. He went through the schools of Rensselaer and worked his way through Indiana University by teaching, alternating his teaching ard going to college. After his graduation he taught two years at Remington, being the principal. He then taught one year in Allen county and then reentered college to take the law course. He located at Marion and has practiced there since that time, the counties of Gpecat tfflffi Delaware includes the cities of Marion and Muncie each has a superior court. The salary of a superior judge is the same as a circuit judge, $3,600 a year. Mr. Vanatta’s wife has been an invalid for some years and his Uttle daughter, Marjorie, has made her home with her grandparents in Rensselaer. He will be here thd last of this week to visit his daughter and his parents and his old Rensselaer friends will be pleased to greet him as “Judge.”
