Beveridge Gives Heartiest Support To Candidacy of E. D. Crumpacker.
In a speech at Hammond Monday night Senator Albert J. Beveridge used the following language: “Cast your vote for Edgar Dean Crumpacker. He is opposed by a man who is an attorney for the father of the interests we progressives are fighting—the Standard Oil company. Would it be safe to send a man to congress who has been doing their work? Wouldn’t his mind be prejudiced, and would he not sympathize with the interests we are fighting?”
