Don’t Cash Money Orders for Strangers Without Investigation.
One hundred and fifty money orders were stolen a few days since from Station 50 of the Chicago postofflce and several have been filled out and cashed in northern Indiana towns. The two men who are thought to be in possession of them wait until the postofflce is closed, then visit stores and make small, purchases, cashing a money order at each store. Merchants should not cash money orders for strangers; it is unsafe at any time.
