Tillman Born, Monday, Oct. 31st, to Mr. and Mrs. Harry Reed, of Barkley township, a son, and their third child, all boys. Mrs. Roy Donnelly, who spent yesterday in Hammond, returned there this morning for a visit of about a week, Have you noticed the number of Weber wagons we have in this community? Cleve Harkrider, who has been working for Jamie Willlß in the garage, went to McClain county, 111., today, where he will probably husk corn for several weeks. Mrs. Martha Rusk is expected home today from Nebraska, where she has been for several months. She is in very poor health and it is expected that her son William will accompany her home. 0- A. Yeoman went to Indianapolis today to see about the shipping of nursery stock orders. Orle has built up a fine trade on nursery goods and expects to engage more extensively in the business from this time on. Sidney Holmes made a trip to Lowell this morning, where he may purchase a steam plow for use in North Dakota, to which state he will remove in the spring. Sidney will farm on a large scale there and thinks a steam plow will save him a lot of horses. This morning was bright And beautiful and apparently we were to have a splendid day, but clouds soon enveloped the sky and the temperature' took a tumble and now the day is gray and cheerless and a snow storm is apt to ensue. You can’t guess Indiana weather very far ahead. jtoy Blue and wife have arrived from LaPorte and will take up their residence in the house owned by A. B. Cowgill and recently vacated by John Duvall. Mr. Cowgill is having some interior improvements made in the house. Mr. Blue will be associated with Attorney George A. Williams.
