PLEASANT RIDGE.
A number of young friends spent a pleasant evening at Martin’s Sunday. Mrs. Fred Linback visited her mother, Mrs. Snyder, of Rensselaer, Wednesday. Joseph Borntrager, who is to have charge of the Lawler ranch, moved there Friday. Mrs. Will Eldridge spent Friday night and Saturday with her mother, Mrs. Norris. Mr. and Mrs. Hgrve Lowman and Maggie Griffin were guests of Wash Lowman and family Sunday. Mrs. Gaylord Parker accompanied Mrs. Chester Downs to Chalmers to visit the latter’s relatives there last Sunday. Chloe Kenton, whose critical condition was mentioned in these Items before, is slowly improving. At the last leport her fever was down to 100. Bowman Crownover, whose illness was mentioned in these items before, is recovering from his attack of typhoid fever, and is doing as well as could be expected. Leslie Gwin and Jim Eldridge have been hauling gravel for the road west of Gwin’s. Berry's have been graveling the road from their house north to the Ridge, and Parkison's from their house south to the Ridge.
