G. F. MEYERS. The state auditor says he has called on county treasurers for advance payments of the state's share of taxes under the December settlement. The call is for 20 per cent on Oct. 20, and 20 per cent on Nov. 10. This is neces sary because the state treasury is empty. The state beard of finance recently had to transfer $25,000 from the state sinking fund to meet current bills. John B.
