In the Cab for Fifty Years.
Michael Kirby, engineer, for fiftyeight years in the employ of the Baltimore P Ohio railroad, has voluntarily left his locomotive cab and gone on to the retired list. Mr. Kirby minima to he the only person living who struck one of the blows whloh drove the gold spike in the cross-tie at Boseby’s Rock, West Virginia, on Christmas eve, 185 S, marking the completion of the Baltimore jfc Ohio railroad to the Ohio river at Wheeling ynd the establishment of the first trunk line on the American continent.
