FAIRBANKS WILL GREET THEODORE
Former President To Be Introduced By Former Colleague. 6REAT MEETING AT CAPITAL Eacort of Republican Clubs Will Meet Roosevelt at Station—Ample Space to Hold People Who Desire to Hear Address—Quick Trip to Anderson Will Follow Rally. Col. Theodore Roosevelt, when he speaks in Indianapolis, October 13, will be introduced by former Vice President Charles Warren Fairbanks. The former president and the former vice president, therefore, will be seen and heard at the same time. When Chairman Harry Wallace, of the Marion county Republican committee, who Is planning the details, took up with Mr. Fairbanks the matter of presiding oyer the Roosevelt meeting, the former senator and former vice president expressed his gratification at being asked to introduce the country’s most distinguished private citiaen. This occasion will recall the presence here of Col. Roosevelt, when he was serving as president, for the purpose of making the speech at the unveiling of the Lawton monument. At that time he was entertained at the home of Mr. Fairbanks and- met many Indian&polip and Indiana people. Chairman Wallace will arrange for meeting Col. Roosevelt at the union station, when he arrives, with the Indianapolis military band and a parade to be made up of all who wish to honor the former president. The parade will not be In charge of any particular organization, but all Republican clubs will be welcome to participate. A stand will be erected just north of the federal building from which Col. Roosevelt will speak. Thus, not only will the great crowds which are expected to be present will have an excellent opportunity to hear him, but he will be In full view of all. Col.
