Confusing.
Craig Biddle, at a dinner in Newport, was describing the changing odds on the Jeffries-Johnson fight at Reno. “Eight to four and a half on Jeffries—nine to six the other way about —three to 6ne and a quarter—it’s rather confusing, isn't it?” he said. “In fact, it’s almost as confusing as the two girls’ talk about a secret. “ ‘Mary,’ said the first girl, ‘told me that you had told her that secret I told you not to tell her.’ “ ‘The nasty thing,’ said the other girl. ‘I told her not to tell you I told her.’ " ‘Well,’ said the first girl, ‘I told her I wouldn’t tell you she told me—so don’t tell her I did.’ ”
