.. House to House Canvas. . The four churches, Christian, Presbyterian, Methodist and Baptist, have appointed committees to make a joint canvass of the city in the interest of the Sunday schools and churches. This canvass will be made on the afternoon of Tuesday, October fourth. It is desired to ascertain how many children there are in the city of Sunday school age, and where they and their parents attend church and Sunday school, or where they prefer to attend. Therefore a committee of sixty has been appointed, and will.be under the direction of Rev. Parrett, and will be sent out two and two. We bespeak for the * committee a cordial reception by the residents of the city, and a hearty co-operation in assisting them in their work. The committee is requested to meet Rev. Parrett in the Presbyterian church, on Monday evening, about 7:30 o’clock, to perfect arrangements for the next day’s work. REV. J. P. GREEN, Sec’y. of the Ministers’ Ass’n.
