ARTICLES IN WICKER WORK

These Are of Almost Endless Variety and Many of Them Are Elaborately Trimmed. Wicker articles are of almost endless variety. Chief among them are workbaskets In dainty designs. Some are elaborately trimmed and lined with silk and satin, but cheaper ones minus the high-priced trimmings are made for those who want a good substantial working article. A pretty basket is heart-shaped and fitted with a wicker cover and a handle of the same material. It is made to stand on its own wicker legs and not on a table, and so makes it possible for the housewife to get off In a corner with the sewing instead of littering up a table that is wanted for other purposes. These wicker work baskets are ornamental in themselves, fashioned as they are in pretty designs and made of bnghtly tinted material. They can be Improved in any way the owner wishes l>y the addition of satin bows. When the work is finished the cover of the basket is shut down and the wicker basket stands In its corner, an attractive addition to the furniture of the room. A wicker holder for the whisk brush may also be Improved In the way suggested for the work basket, by the addition of ribbons and bows. It is' pictured on this page without these trimmings. The brush holders are sold this way, but it is intended that the purchaser shall finish them off to suit herself by weaving ribbons through the meshes and fastening a bow to the bottom of the holder.
