Mayor George W. Tiedman of Savannah, condemning a municipal bill that he deemed too hastily drafted, said to a reporter: "Why, they drafted this bill the way the old-time Georgia editor used to perform his wedding ceremonies. “The old-time editor of Georgiawas usually mayor as well.
