Court convened today and probate matters occupied the time the first day. Tuesday will be call day. A number of Wheatleld folks came down this morning. It seems that there have been some jealousies in the school board of that town and it is possible that members may get into the court, but it is to be hoped this does not occur. Ray Hopkins came up from Crawfordsville this morning, where he has been working as an electric light lineman during the summer vacation. He will re-enter Wabash college again this fall and will be the captain of the football team. Ray is earning his way through college and expects to become a teacher.

The 87th reunion will be held in Rensselaer on September 22nd and 23rd. The survivors of the regiment are making every effort to give the visiting soldiers a royal welcome. The committee has made arrangements to give a picnic dinner, served in the court house yard, on Thursday Dinner will be served from 12 to 3:30. This is done in order that those that are compelled to come on the 3 o’clock train can have dinner served after they get here. Let us give them a good time, as this is the last that will he held in our city by this regiment. Bring well-filled baskets. Mrs. Ahbie Roberts, chairman of the committee, will be on the grounds to receive: any donations that wish to be made. Let everybody turn out and have a good Hm(L * <
