John Vergene is moving his family to Crown Point. Fawn Casey has been sick for a few days with sore throat. Mrs. John Munden, of Momence, visited Mrs. Milt Gundy this week. N. A. McKay and C. A. Gundy, of Gibson, visited at home over Sunday. Mrs. Al. Blake and Mrs. Arthur Dewitt are visiting in Medaryvilie for a week. Rev. Peterson and Miss Shively, of Lafayette, visited Mrs. Cottingham Tuesday. Carl Hoover and his mother, of Kansas, are visiting this week at F. R. Erwin’s. Mrs. Jesse Garriett visited a day last week with Mrs. Joe Norman, of Rensselaer. Wm. Fisher and family; of Chicago, are visiting the Williams family northwest of town. Mrs. Elza Grow, of Rensselaer, spent Saturday here with her sister, Mrs. Emery Cox. Most of the pickle pickers are getting tired of their Job, but still there is more to follow. Mrs. C. A. Gundy was called to Monon Sunday on account of the illness of Mrs. Clint Gundy. About 25*from here went to Roselawn Sunday to attend the tent meeting being held there. John Thorn and wife, of Joliet, are visiting at Chas. Halleck’s this week, and helping take care of the watermelon crop.
