“I was greatly surprised the other day,” said a local automobile dealer, “while talking with the representative of a big auto factory to be informed that the standard type of gasoline car has nearly 5,000 parts. They are classified as including magneto and carburator, there are 1,508 pieces; in the transmission system, 126; in the real axle, 166,'in the steering column, 158, and so on forming separate parts assembled to co-ordinate and co-operate with one another in producing a healthy automobile.
