Operation Not Necessary in The Case of Mrs. E. M. Crowder.
E. M. Crowder was a visitor at the Republican office yesterday afternoon and reported that his wife, who is at the home of his father, Marion M. Crowder, southeast of town, Is improving very satisfactorily and will not have to be operated on for appendicitis as was at first thought probable. Mr. Crowder 1b a fireman on the Monon railroad, running out of Indianapolis and was the secretary of the protective board of the Brotherhood of Railway Firemen that recently brought the matter of a wage raise so successfully to the railroad officials. He was married on Aug. 3d, and while on a visit here, Mrs. Crowder was taken seriously sick. He will now remain here until she is able to be returned to Indianapolis, where they will make their home. He is soon to take an 'examination for promotion os engineer.
