Rex Singer to Join Fields’ Minstrels in New York City.

J. F. Frederick, who has been singing for the past three months at the Rex moving picture show-, will join A 1 G. Fields’ minstrels in New York on Sept. Ist and travel with them the coming season, as he has for two seasons past. Mr. Frederick has been a great favorite as a singer here and his strong voice, perfect enunciation and excellent expression made him a big drawing card for the Rex Mr. Frederick “just happened” to find an engagement in Rensselaer. He came from Chicago with a party of friends in an automobile, and when they came to Rensselaer they decided i.o stay all c’glit. Mr. Frederick stopped at one hotel and the other membe»s of the party stopped at another. They got up earlier than he did and not knowing where he had found lodging they went without him. He got busy right away and that night sang ar the Rex. Every patron said “keep him,’’ and manager Rex Warner did so He has hot only proven popular at the theatre but outside as well apd has made acquaintances in Rensselaer, all of whom will regret to have him leave but will be pleased to knpw that he has secured a first class engagement for the coming season, arfid that he has arranged with Manager Warier of the Jtex to return here next spring and resume his engagement.
