Chicago & Alton Man May Become President of Monon.

It is reported that S. H. Ackert, vicepresident of the Chicago & Alton, will succeed Ira G. Rawn as president of the Monon. The report was from Washington, D. C., headquarters of the Southern railroad, which, with the L. & N„ holds the controlling interest in the Monon. At one time Mr. Ackert was superintendent of the Southern, with headquarters at Knoxville, Tenn. Jn addition to being vice-president, Mr Ackert is at the head of the operation and maintainance departments of the Chicago & Alton.
