During the last week the Pennsylvania railroad placed an order with the Brooks Locomotive works, Dunkirk, N. Y„ for sixty-five engines of the consolidated type. The National Dental association at its session in Denver Wednesday adopted a resolution indorsing Senator Owens’s bill for a national department of public health. Senator Owens’s measure provides for a cabinet officer to be at the head of the proposed department.
