The place was raided by Law and Order association detectives on April 26, and Megley later pleaded guilty to running a blind tiger. Charles Crawford, of Terre Haute, admits he is puzzled. He defended a client a few days ago and won the suit, the client appearing so pleased he sat down and wrote out a check, which was returned marked “worthless” with a note to the effect that the client had never had a deposit. Crawford is pauper attorney and fears if he has his client arrested he will have to defend him, as it seems certain the f eliow has no money.
