Comrade Fox Resigns His Job As Carrier of the City Mail.
Comrade Fox has decided to give up the job as city mail carrier or at least to cut loose from the contract at the ridiculously low pipce for which it is now carried and he has tendered his resignation. The job paid only $16.59 per month. It requires ten round trips between the depot and the post office every week day and four round trips on Sun. The postal department has caused a notice to be posted in the Rensselaer office advertising for bids. These will be received on blanks supplied by Postmaster Murray until July 25th, when the bids will be sent in and the contract let. This job should bring SSO or S6O per month.
