Mark Reed cut his wheat Saturday. Haying is the order of the day with a good many of the farmers. 'Mrs. Doan is recovering from a serious attack of heart trouble. Clyde Clark and wife, of Morocco, spent the Fourth in Rensselaer. Miss Virginia Holmes is helping Mrs. George Heuson for a while. D. S. Makeever and John Zimmer are shipping stock to Chicago today. Ed Goetz cut his toe quite badly while trimming the top out of a shade tree. Arthur Mayhew and family spent the Fourth near Brook at a family picnic. Mrs. Cena Arnott returned from Delphi Saturday, where she has been waiting. Britt Marion repaired the cylinder at the well in the Bislosky pasture Monday. The Fourth has passed and still no rain. The oat? crop will be short and gardens, too, unless there is rain soon. Mrs. Oscar Bolden, of Francasville, and Mrs. Ed Bruce, of south of Rensselaer, spent Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. George Werner. Mr. and Mrs. Pancoast spent Saturday In Crown Point. Their nephew. Thomas Livingston, came home with them for a couple of days’ visit. The birthday party at Mr. and Mrs. Holmes' Saturday night in honor of their daughter Virginia, and iwiwa Emma Feldhaus, was largely attended. We make a specialty of furnishing Wedding Announcements.
