R. post, Congressman Crumpacker writes that he has always been in favor of a dollar a day pension for veterans of the Civil war. He states that -he has been ready at all times to support a bill of that kind whenever the opportunity should present itself. Mr. Crumpacker referred the Hammond petition to the committee on invalid pensions, in Washington, for consideration.
