Marriage of Ivan Carson And Miss Mary B. Adams.
A pretty home wedding took place at the resid’ence of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marion I. Adams, south of town, Sunday morning At 8:30 o’clock. The contracting parties were Miss Mary B. Adams and Mr. Ivan John Carson, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Carson, of Rensselaer. Only the immediate relatives of the family were present. Rev. A. G. Farmer, of Rensselaer, an old friend and neighbor of the bride’s family, officiated. Mr. and Mrs. Carson left after the ceremony for Chicago, and upon their return will take up their residence in Rensselaer, at the W. R. Brown residence on Milroy Avenue. The groom was formerly a clerk in one of the stores here, but is now traveling for a Milwaukee shoe firm. He is now taking his summer vacation. The bride is a graduate of the ’O6 class of the Rensselaer public schools and a most charming young lady. She taught in the public schools of Roselawn at the term just closed, previous to which she taught in the Fair Oaks schools. A family shower and supper In honor of the bridal couple was given by the uncle and aunt of the groom, Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Hammond at their residence Friday evening.
