She poured the tea. Ah, she vyas fall As, urn in hand, she neared my chaii And stooped my waiting cup to fill, The while I sensed a wond’rous thrill— For such a fragrance filled the air. I 'Twas not the tea; her wayward hair Just brushed my cheek, and lingered there; —• How could I calmly wait until She poured the tea? To steal a kiss who would not dare?
