HANGING GROVE.

Misses. Dora Phillips, Ada Given and Myrtle Lewis were In Rensselaer Thursday. _r. Mr. and Mrs. August Tigler and Mrs. Geo. Brandenburg are visiting relatives in Warren county. The local lodge at Lee will give an ice cream supper Saturday night at the hall for the benefit of the lodge. Mrs. C. C. Randle and children returned home Tuesday morning from Monon, after a couple of days visit with relatives. J. Ross has a new yard fence which adds much for improvement. He also has a new iron gate of the latest design. It is a very handy gate. Orville Hitchings had a fine black mare injured, by running, against a steel tank Sunday. The wound is said to be healing nicely and it is thought the animal will get well. Ed Randle- has torn down the old Isaac Parker house and will rebuild soon. It is a lovely place for a home jand we are glad Ed is going to build anew. . Mr. and Mrsr-Wm. Ireland, of HamJR9?d, are visiting relatives near Crawfordsville this w,eek, and on their return home, will stop off here for a short visit with his parents. Wm. Ireland is a fireman in the Hammond yards, and will get a regular engine sometime in September.
