Evening Republican, Volume 14, Number 125, Rensselaer, Jasper County, 26 May 1910 — PLEASANT RIDGE. [ARTICLE]
PLEASANT RIDGE.
Weather fine and crops growing nicely. Halley’s comet went through without stopping. Pleasant Ridge is getting a tennis set. Come out and see us. Ray Lowman’s auto still runs, but not so good as he thought it would. John Ward is putting down a well for Fred Linback on the C. H. Tryon place. The farmers are nearly all done planting corn in this vicinity. Some are expecting to have some to replant. Harve Lowman has not put his glass front on yet. He says he may want to go out there himself. C. A. Parkißon is getting so many chicks he says he can’t afford to buy store boxes to put them In. He is getting close to the 70ft> mark and expecting more.
