Lamson left this morning for Hancock county, where she will visit relatives for sometime. George Fate is spending today in Chicago visiting his brother who is the inventor of the Vac-Jac cooker. It is The Fat Dinner Man’s first visit to Chicago since 1874. We are the only house in town that carries a full line of package and hulk garden seeds, onion sets, and north-ern-grown seed potatoes. JOHN EGER. Mrs. Etta Rockwood, of Indianapolis, and Mrs. Gene Tyner, of Monon, “'returned to their homes yesterday evening after a visit of several days here with Mr. and Mrs. T. D. Woodworth. W. E. Sayler, who went to Hartline, Wash,, two or three years ago, is now assistant cashier of a bank in that town. For some time he was with his uncle, John Sayler, who is making a success farming. Dr. E. N. Loy is still at Piqua, Qhio, and his father still lives but in a letter to a friend under date of April 11th, he states that the end is not far away and he will remain there until after the death and funeral. Jim Anderson, the Wheatfield pitcher, has signed to play Sunday ball this year with the South Whitley team. He is making good as a pitcher, and while he has a different style of delivery from Lou Jensen, he is said to be quite as effective with all classes of batters. Miss Minnie Tinkham, who was the primary teacher in the Rensselaer schools four years ago, and who has been an instructor in the Angola college for the past three years, has accepted the primary work in the Wheatfield schools, it is understood, for next year. Wheatfield was her home and that town is to be congratulated for having secured her services. She was one of the best primary teachers Rensselaer ever had.
