Geo. Pumphrey Buys a Good Farm Near Columbia City.
Geo. O. Pumphrey has just closed a deal which was started some time ago for a farm of 188 acres 4 miles east of Columbia City, Whitley county, on the Fort Wayne gravel road. Mr. Pumphrey sold his farm just northeast of Rensselaer several months ago and has had this investment under consideration most of the time since then. The farm is less than a mile from the farm owned by Walter Ponsler, who went there from Mt. Ayr a year ago. It is well improved with a good 8-room house, large barn, 2 good wells with 2 good windmills and is a fine bluegrass farm. There is considerable timber, including black walnut, ash, oak and elm trees. The price paid' was SIO,BOO, which is $57.50 per acre. The farm is leased this year but either the new owner or his son Newton, will probably occupy it another year. Farmers, mechanics, railroaders, laborers rely on Dr. Thomas’ Eclectic Oil. Takes the sting out of cuts, burns or bruises at once. Pain cannot stay where it used. 4 $
