All the members of the council were present at the meeting Monday evening. The superintendent of the light plant was instructed to remove the old boiler at the light plant and install the new boiler, employing such help as necessary, the work. to be done under the direction of the supgrintendent and light committee The matter of the city doing the street sprinkling was discussed, and the city attorney gave the opinion that the city had no power to do the work as proposed, and the matter will probably be dropped. The city attorney was instructed to prepare an ordinance regulating the shooting of fire crackers and fireworks on the Fourth of July, and report at the next meeting of the council. The former proceeding for the extension of the Scott and Division street sewer were dismissed and the city attorney was instructed to prepare a new resolution for the extension.
