Mrs. C. D. Martin Sends Aid for the Soldiers’ Monument.
Mrs. C. D. Martin sent $1 to Mrs. Mary E. Thompson under date of April 3rd, and wrote as follows from Hyde Parke, a suburb of Cincinnati: “Please accept my little offering for the Milroy monument. I have been greatly Interested in the progress of your undertaking. I was a friend of General Milroy and his tamily. The daughter, Ella, was the best friend of my childhood. I am glad this monument is to be erected to the memory of her father and that he and his noble life will never be forgotten at the old home. I hope to be present at the time of the unveiling of the monument rn July 4th.”
