Music Pupils Wanted.

Miss Belle Laßue is home from DePauw University, where she has spent a long time in musical pursuits and she is now prepared to resume instruction on the piano. Persons wishing to arrange for lessons will please make arrangements as soon as possible. Mayor Thos. E. Knotts, of Gary, will probably be the democratic candidate for congress in the 10th Indiana district, making the race against Hon. E. D Crumpacker. That is the plan, at least, set oh foot by some of his political friends at a secret meeting held Friday morning at Gary. Hon. E. P. Honan, of Rensselaer, has also been mentioned as a possible candidate for the democratic nomination. If you haven’t the time to exercise regularly, Doan’s Regulets will prevent constipation. They induce a mild, easy, healthful action of the bowels without griping. Ask your druggist for them. 25 cents. F. M. Snyder, who lives on Scott street, was given a very pleasant surprise Friday evening, April Ist, when about 25 neighbors and friends marched in on him to let him know that it was his 58th birthday. The guests all brought well filled baskets and spread a fine supper and several presents were also left for the surprised host. The evening was pleasantly spent. Most disfiguring skin eruptions, scrofula, pimples, rashes, etc., are due to impure blood. Burdock Blood Bitters is a cleansing blood tonic. Makes you clear-eyed, clear-brained, clearskinned. James A. May was over from his home in White county, not far from Wolcott, this morning and left a contribution of $1 toward the Milroy monument. Mr. May was a Jasper county soldier, having been a member of the 48th regiment and seen a lot of service, being w'ounded three times. One of the Wounds was in his right hip and it is causing him a lot of trouble now and he gets about with quite a little difficulty. He hopes to be here for the unveiling of the monument.
