Boys’ Band Concert Was Fine Success and Pleased Audience.
The boys’ band concert was well received by the good sized audience that gathered at Ellis opera house Wednesday evening. So well . did the boys perform that there was prolonged applause after each number. Prof. Otto Braun has certainly made the most in the instruction of his novices and they already play very creditably and are certain to be engaged for the summer band concert season. It is probable, also, that they will give another concert in about a month. The money secured at the concerts will go toward buying music and uniforming the band boys. In addition to the band’s part in the program, a boys’ glee club sang several songs, several girls also took a part in the program, and Prof. Braun played two selections on a violin, which elicited much applause. The receipts for the concert were about $35.
