Ed Oliver and Wm. Rees were Pleasant Grove callers Sunday. Mary Anderson spent Sunday with Chloa Martin. Samuel Rees and Deacon Smith called on Oscar Moore, near Pleasant Grove, Sunday. Mrs. John Snyder and children and Grandma Cleaver spent Sunday with John Hall and family. T. M. Callahan and little daughter Cecila, attended church in Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Tow spent Saturday night and Sunday with near MisS Rae Hanifofd, who la’workipg at # McCoysburg, spent Sunday with home folks at Gifford. Miss Alice Bingham and Alice Hancock spent Saturday with Mrs. Newt Kaupkee. Misses Mary Rees and Bell and Lizzie Tow spent Sunday with Miss Lola Oliver. Ed Oliver purchased a new buggy one day last week. I guess he’s got tired of riding in the old one. Ed Snyder, wife and baby spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Rube Snider and baby, of Newland. Mr. and Mrs.<fim Jeffery and family, of Gifford, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. G. M. Beebe and family, of NdWland. Newland school closed Saturday after a successful t epa of school. Miss Bihgham, the teacher, will leave for her home in Lagrange county Tuesday. Governor Hadley, of Missouri, within a few days will begin a state-wide fight for a sane observation of the Fourth of July,
