Ross Dean to Complete Course In Indiana State University.
Prof. Ross Dean, history teacher in the Rensselaer 'high school, and a young man who has spent the past sfeven years alternately teaching and attending college, has satisfactorily arranged with the school board to have his work here taken up by another for the balance of the year, and next Monday will re-enter the Indiana state university to complete his course of study begun in 1903. Mr. Dean is a Very capable teacher and his .services have been procured for next year, which will be good news to the patrons of the Rensselaer schools. His term here will be completed by Miss Edith Leonard, of Brighton, 111., who has had three years’ experience in teaching history and who it is believed will carry his work along very satisfactorily. Mr. Dean has been devoting his summer vacation periods to keeping up his college work and he will be able to graduate upon the completion of this spring’s study.at Bloomington. W. E. Peck and J. W. Phelps, of Wheatfield, were delegates to the congressional convention at Lafayette. Ray, however, did not get there in time for the convention. He was delayed by a wreck on the Three Eye and did not reach Lafayette until the convention had adjourned.
