Notice About Obstruction of Alleys and Streets.
City Ordinance, No. If, prohibits the throwing of ashes, tin cans and other forms of rubbish in the streets and alleys of the city of Rensselaer, and I have been directed by the City Council to enforce the ordinance to the letter. Alleys and streets must be cleaned up without further delay.
J. K. DAVIS, Marshal.
A. Goodman, road master of the Monon, and a well known man in Rensselaer, was considerably injured in an auto wreck a few days ago near Westville. In company with others, he was riding in a car in the hands oi an expert demonstrator. The car was running about 25 miles an hour when the wheels skidded, the car struck a snow drift and was overturned. Mr. Goodman was unconscious for some time and received a severe cut on his head. He was in Rensselaer today and shows the result of his accident by wearing a bandage about his head. The Indian appropriation bill was passed by the house late Tuesday. The bill as finally disposed of carried an aggregate of over $8,250,000 exclusive of $390,000,000 payable from trust funds.
