The Second Monthly Horse Sale Attracts a Large Crowd.

A large crowd of people attended the second monthly horse sale in Rensselaer today. Horses were brought in from Wheatfield, Tefft, Morocco, Mt. Ayr, Brook, Remington and other places, as well as from the surrounding country. There was a considerable degree of independence among the horse owners, who seemed to hold the horses higher in many instances than the buyers were willing to pay. However, a number of sales had been made up to 2 o’clock and the stables and hitch barns were filled with horses and surrounded with people. The buyers claim that 200 horses changed hands at Monticello yesterday.
