‘'Object” drawing has brought a new Anxiety into the schools. In certain districts youngsters may be seen moving schoolward with hatchets, carvers, hammers, chisels, etc., as inaterial for their drawing lessons. The other day, Just as one of these lessons was abdut to begin, a small boy was found standing tearfully at the headmaster’s desk. “I’ve swallowed my object,” he explained, with an, alarming gulp. “What was it?” asked the master anxiously. “A banana,” replied the would-be artist, with a final gulp.—London Fun.
