John M. Sauser Retired By War Department Special Order.

Special Orders No. 35, War Department, issued by direction of the president, honorably discharge Post Commissary Sergeant John M. Sauser and place him upon the retired list created by congress March 2, 1907. The order was issued Feb. 11th, and became effective Monday, Feb. 14th. Mr. Sauser is again a private citizen for the first time in an accredited service of thirty years. He will return to Rensselaer from Fort Sheridan, where he went about two weeks ago, and take up his permanent residence here. His retired pay will be about $65 per month.
