There is a prevailing opinion over the state that township trustees can redeem road receipts issued by supervisors. Such an opinion is erroneous. Trustees have no such authority because the yaw says that it is the duty of the taxpayer* to whom these receipts _ are given to present them to the county treasurer, who shall receive them as so much paid on their road taxes, if presented during the year in which the work was done or the following year.
