Battle Ground Athletes Like to Visit Rensselaer Opponents.
Manager Lee Kepner is in receipt of a letter from John R. Mahin, manager of the Battle Ground basketball team, concluding the arrangements for the game here Friday night of next week. Mr. Mahin says: “As to our reception there we have not the slightest misgiving. That is the on# tdwn where our treatment has been uniformly courteous and we have only the kindest thoughts of your athletes.” Mr. Mahin belonged to the old Battle Ground athletic fotball team thatused to come to Rensselaer in the early nineties, and he has never lost his interest in athletics and last fall accompanied the high school football team here.
Arrangements have been made to have the night train stop at Battle Ground that night so that they may return home after the game.
